Aboard Celebrity Cruise Line's "The Eclipse"

 

This Spain/Canary Islands CRUISE itinerary boasts the following exciting ports-of-call which begins and ends in Southampton (England):

Madeira (Funchal), Portugal•Tenerife, Canary Islands• Las Palmas, Gran Canaria • Lanzarote, Canary Islands • Vigo, Spain.

 

A lot of us have sailed on some of CELEBRITY’S Solstice-class ships: The Equinox and the Reflection. Now we are headed to the CANARY ISLANDS & SPAIN on their sister, THE ECLIPSE on a 10 night sailing roundtrip from Southampton, England stopping at Madeira, off the coast of Morocco, known for its namesake wine and warm subtropical climate.

 

Tenerife – the saucy grand dame of the islands attracting over 10 million visitors a year.

 

Las Palmas–one of Spain’s Canary Islands off of northwestern Africa spiced up with an eclectic mix of other cultures, including African, Indian and Chinese. The city is known for its duty-free shopping and its sandy beaches.

 

We’ll make a stop in Vigo, Spain – an amazingly quaint ancient town full of surprises.

Then there is Lanzarote – one of the Canary Islands off the coast of West Africa, known for its year-round warm weather, beaches and raw volcanic landscape that looks like photos from the moon landing. I was there with my mother in 1992 and she said as she shook her head, “see lots of old folks don’t believe they landed on the moon. They think they probably just came over here and took some pictures.” Lanzarote is absolutely unbelievable.

 

Hold Up - Wait a Minute!

It just wouldn’t be a true Kat Experience without her special touch.  To add to the excitement, we’ll get together for Bid Whist and Dominoes on one of our relaxing “at sea” days.  Plus, we’ve gotta turn it out at least one night at dinner… dressed in ALL white!!!!

 

Are you worried about the climate? It’s off the coast of Africa. You will not be in Europe proper, aside from flying into the United Kingdom. You can expect temperatures to be in the 70’s (73 - 79)
