Casablanca, Rabat & Mysterious Marrakech
We begin this tour in the port city of Casablanca, the main gateway to Morocco. It is the largest city of Morocco, bordering on the North African Atlantic seaboard. It’s a blend of Moorish style and European Art Deco. There’s the Hassan II Mosque, a fine example of pure Moroccan architecture and the only one in the city that non Muslims may visit. The shoppers will enjoy the Morocco Mall and the Quartier Habous. Our luxury hotel, the Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche has a two-level spa, jacuzzi, Hammam, an indoor pool and 2 restaurants. It sits opposite the magnificent Hassan II Mosque and it’s just a 2 minute walk to the Medina.
We’ll enjoy a day trip to Rabat. It doesn’t evoke that exotic image of Marrakech nor the somewhat delusional romantic notion of Casablanca but Rabat is a pleasant surprise and worthy of a visit.
We were In Marrakech twice last year and it was truly unforgettable. Some of us can’t wait to return. The Medina is a densely packed , walled medieval city dating back to the Berber empire with maze like alleys where thriving souks sell traditional items, pottery and jewelry.
Our hotel, Les Jardins de la Koutoubia is a true oasis in this mysterious city. It’s in the heart of Marrakech’s Medina and has everything needed for the relaxation of your soul: Spa by Carita, 3 restaurants, a piano bar, fitness center, an indoor and outdoor pool plus a rooftop pool. This is total rejuvenation for the body, mind and spirit
