Then on to Porto, located on the Douro (doh ro) River, famous for its port wine, a sweet, fortified wine from the Douro Valley. There will be wine tasting galore; ports can be red, rosé, or white, typically served as a digestif or with dessert. WPLJ—remember the song? In the ’60s, it was the high school boys’ drink of choice— White Port and lemon juice. Back in the day, we had no clue of its Portuguese origin!

We will then make our way down to the sun-soaked Algarve, visiting the liveliest part of Portugal, particularly Albufeira, known for its stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife scene. Along the way, we’ll take time to relax and rejuvenate with a soothing spa experience, ensuring that you not only explore but also unwind.
